Polisie arresteer 10 vir plunder
MISDAADTONEEL: Delft, Kaapstad: Die Delft-polisie het 10 mense gearresteer vir openbare geweld en kwaadwillige saakbeskadiging nadat plundering by ‘n winkel in Hoof-weg, Voorbrug, Dinsdag 30 Junie 2026 plaasgevind het.
‘n Skakelbeampte vir die Wes-Kaapse polisie, sersant Wesley Twigg, het gesê toegang tot die winkel is deur die dak verkry. Twigg het bevestig dat een vrou en nege mans tussen die ouderdomme van 18 en 45-jaar gearresteer is.
Die Stad Kaapstad het gister gesê protesoptogte op 30 Junie het meestal vreedsaam verloop het, maar daar was geïsoleerde berigte van plundering en geweld.

Ten arrests in Delft for looting
CRIME SCENE: Delft, Cape Town: Delft police have arrested 10 people for public violence and malicious damage to property after looting took place at a shop in Main Road, Voorbrug on Tuesday 30 June 2026
A media liaison officer for the Western Cape police, Sergeant Wesley Twigg, said access to the shop was gained through the roof. Twigg confirmed that one woman and nine males between the ages of 18 and 45 were arrested.
The City of Cape Town said yesterday that most 30 June protests went of peacefully, but there were isolated reports of looting.
