CRIME SCENE: Franschhoek, Cape Winelands: A man was shot multiple times and died behind toilet on Thursdsay, 4 June 2026.

Franschhoek police responded to reports of a shooting at Langreg squatter camp and when they arrived at the scene they found the body of a 35-year-old man behind a toilet with multiple gunshot wounds on his body, said a police media liaison officer for the Western Cape, Constable Ndakhe Gwala.  

He was declared dead on the scene by medical personnel and no arrest has been made yet.
