CRIME SCENE: Mossel Bay, Southern Cape: The Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation team in George, together with Vispol in KwaNonqaba, arrested a 48-year-old male who was found in possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition.

Hawks spokesperson, Warrant Officer Zinzi Hani, said the was found in possession of an unlicensed pistol, two magazines with over 554 rounds, one shotgun round and 42 riffle rounds.

The suspect is set to appear at the Mossel Bay Magistrate Court today, 2 July 2026.
