Public asked to make use of 107 emergency number
10111 call centre down
UPDATE! The telephone lines to Maitland 10111 Call Centre have been restored and are fully operational.
THE South African Police Service have appealed to the public to make use of the 107 emergency number as they are experiencing technical issues with the 10111 number.

According to SAPS the call centre in Maitland, Cape Town had a Telkom line breakage, was was receiving attention.
“At this stage, the source of the breakage has not yet been determined by the relevant service provider.
“In the interim, communities are urged to make use of the 107 emergency number, which will connect callers to the 10111 call centre. Alternatively, members of the public may contact their nearest police station for assistance.”
SAPS said it would provide regular updates on the progress.
