Suspected gang leader to appear in court soon
Cache of illegal firearms found
The South African Police Service (SAPS) have arrested a suspected gangster and confiscated a mini arsenal allegedly found in his possession.

Members of Operation Lockdown Three arrested the 33-year-old alleged gang leader in Ravensmead for the possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition. The team seized an R5 rifle, a shotgun, three pistols, more than 160 rounds of ammunition, and several magazines.
Four out of the five illegal firearms’ serial numbers were filed off. The team acted swiftly on intelligence on the suspect, who allegedly controlled the gang’s firearms, and proceeded to an identified address. From there the suspect led them to a cache of firearms and ammunition concealed near a block of flats in Ravensmead.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Parow Magistrate’s court soon.
