CRIME SCENE: Parkwood, Cape Town: The Cape Flats week kicked off on a bloody note when two men were shot and killed in Parkwood early on Monday morning, 18 May 2026.

According to Sergeant Wesley Twigg of the Western Cape police media office, Grassy Park police responded to a complaint of a shooting at about 05:15, in Willow Walk, Parkwood.

“When they arrived at the scene they found two men aged 26 and 35-years who sustained gunshot wounds to their bodies. Both victims were declared dead on the scene by medical personnel.

“Reports indicate the victims were approached by an unknown suspect who shot them before fleeing the scene. The motive for the attack is believed to be gang related.  Grassy Park detectives are investigating two counts of murder,” said Twigg
