Drugs and diapers don’t match
CRIME SCENE: Riemvasmaak, Northern Cape: A woman who allegedly concealed drugs in a diaper while travelling with a child has been arrested.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Riemvasmaak SAPS received information about the woman, from Vredesvallei, who was travelling to Augrabies allegedly purchase drugs while reportedly carrying a child.
According to SAPS, swift sharing of information and effective collaboration between Riemvasmaak and Augrabies SAPS resulted in the arrest of the 27-year-old woman on Wednesday, 26 August 2026.
The suspect was apprehended in Augrabies while on her way to catch a taxi. She was carrying a diaper bag, which was searched by police.
“During the search, members discovered dagga and tik with an estimated street value of R1 800 concealed inside a diaper.
“She is expected to appear in the Augrabies Magistrates’ Court soon on a charge of possession of drugs,” said SAPS.
