CRIME SCENE: Elsies River, Cape Town: A man was shot and killed in front of his house on Tuesday evening, 26 June 2026.

A media liaison officer for the Western Cape police, Captain FC van Wyk, said South African Police Service members from Elsies River police attended to a shooting incident at a premises in Old Stellenbosch Road, Clarke Estate, Elsies River at 19:45.

“On arrival they found the 43-year-old deceased laying on the pavement in front of his house with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. A murder case was opened for investigation. The motive is believed to be gang related,” sad Van Wyk.
