Couple arrested in Mfuleni

Police find drugs worth about R1m

CRIME SCENE: Mfuleni, Cape Town: The South African Police Service (SAPS) arrested two suspects for drug-related offences in Minstrel Street, Mfuleni on Wednesday morning, 24 June 2026.

According to the police a search was conducted at approximately 04:30 at a premises where 433 grams of crystal meth, two sachets of crack cocaine, 14 grams of Mandrax powder, four Mandrax tablets, 7 grams of ecstasy, a modified imitation firearm, and an undisclosed amount of cash were discovered. The drugs are estimated to be worth about R900 000.

A 51-year-old male and his 29-year-old girlfriend were arrested for possession and dealing in drugs as well as possession of a prohibited firearm.
