Second arrest at OR Tambo within four days
Another ‘drug mule’ caged
CRIME SCENE: OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg: An alleged drug mule has been intercepted here with approximately two kilograms of cocaine in his possession.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) arrested the suspect with the cocaine with an estimated street value of more than R800 000 on Monday, 7 September 2026.
SAPS followed up on intelligence and arrested the 45-year-old who was en route to Hong Kong, China. The drugs were hidden in luggage.
This is the second drug mule arrested in four days following the arrest of a 54-year-old drug mule on 3 September 2026 at the same airport. He was also en route to Hong Kong when he was arrested for cocaine found concealed inside his luggage.
