Vrou (61) op haar bed vermoor
MISDAADTONEEL: Allanridge, Vrystaat: ‘n Bejaarde vrou is wreed in haar eie huis vermoor en naak op haar bed agtergelaat.

Die Suid-Afrikaanse Polisiediens (SAPD) ondersoek die moord op die 61-jarige vrou wat dood by haar huis in Nyakallong, Allanridge gevind is. Haar hande en voete was met ‘n tou vasgebind.
Die Allanridge-polisie het Maandag 7 September 2026 omstreeks 12:00 ‘n klag ontvang nadat die vrou se dogter en kollegas haar nie in die hande kon kry nie.
“Kollegas het bekommerd geraak toe sy nie vir werk opdaag nie. Hulle het haar dogter onmiddellik in kennis gestel, wat toe die polisie gekontak het.
“Die polisie het onmiddellik ondersoek ingestel en nadat hulle die huis binnegegaan het, is die vrou naak op die bed in die slaapkamer gevind.
“Die motief vir die moord is in hierdie stadium onduidelik,” het die SAPD gesê.
Die polisie doen ‘n beroep op enigiemand met inligting wat tot die arrestasie van die verdagte(s) kan lei om na vore te kom.

Another ‘drug mule’ caged
CRIME SCENE: OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg: An alleged drug mule has been intercepted here with approximately two kilograms of cocaine in his possession.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) arrested the suspect with the cocaine with an estimated street value of more than R800 000 on Monday, 7 September 2026.
SAPS followed up on intelligence and arrested the 45-year-old who was en route to Hong Kong, China. The drugs were hidden in luggage.
This is the second drug mule arrested in four days following the arrest of a 54-year-old drug mule on 3 September 2026 at the same airport. He was also en route to Hong Kong when he was arrested for cocaine found concealed inside his luggage.
SAPS said these successive successes at South Africa’s busiest airport demonstrate the their continued efforts to disrupt and dismantle drug trafficking networks through intelligence-driven operations at the country’s ports of entry.

CRIME SCENE: Allanridge, Free State: An elderly woman has been brutally murdered inside her own home and left naked on her bed.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) are investigating the murder of the 61-year-old woman who was found motionless, with her hands and feet tied with a rope, at her home in Nyakallong, Allanridge.
Allanridge police received a complaint at about 12:00 on Monday, 7 September 2026 when the woman’s daughter and colleagues could not get hold of her.
“Colleagues became concerned when she failed to report for work. They immediately informed her daughter, who then sought help from the police.
“Police immediately went to investigate and upon gaining entry into the house, police discovered the woman lying motionless on the bed in the bedroom, unclothed. Her hands and feet were tied with a rope.
“The motive for the murder is unclear at this stage. Investigations are underway,” said SAPS.
