Man stabbed to death in Lavender Hill

CRIME SCENE: Lavender Hill, Cape Town: A 27-year-old man was stabbed to death in Lavender Hill on Friday morning, 22 May 2026.

Sergeant Wesley Twigg of the Western Cape police media office said Steenberg police registered a murder case for investigation following the stabbing incident at about 07:00, on the corner of Urfield  and Epsten Roads.

Twigg said police members attended to the crime scene where they found the victim with a stab wound to his body.

“He was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation and arrests are yet to be made.”
