CRIME SCENE: Seawind, Cape Town: A man has been shot and killed in Seawind near Lavender Hill.

A Western Cape police media liaison officer, Sergeant Wesley Twigg, said the incident happened on Thursday night, 03 September 2026, at about 21:00, on a sports field in St Patrick Avenue.

“An unknown adult male was shot and fatally wounded. Muizenberg police responded to a complaint of a shooting and upon arrival on the scene they found the victim with gunshot wounds to his body. 

“The victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The motive for the attack is yet to be determined. The suspect/s fled the scene and are yet to be arrested,” said Twigg.
