Lieutenant General Arthur Peter Adams has been appointed as the Provincial Commissioner of the North West Province, with effect from 1 August 2026.

Adams brings with him 34 years of distinguished service, making him one of the most experienced operational commanders within the South African Police Service (SAPS).

Acting National Commissioner, Lieutenant General PP Dimpane, congratulated Lieutenant General Adams on his appointment as the new Provincial Commissioner of the North West.

Throughout his various appointments, Adams has earned a reputation for decisive operational leadership, disciplined execution, capability development and an unwavering commitment to service excellence.
