Police bust drug lab worth millions
UPDATE! Two foreign nationals are expected to appear before the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 11 September 2026 following their arrest in Erasmia for allegedly manufacturing illicit drugs.
The multidisciplinary team who arrested the two during a joint operation discovered a drug laboratory where the suspects were allegedly manufacturing Mandrax tablets to an estimated value of R100 million.
The police also discovered an alleged drug laboratory inside the premises where the suspects were about to manufacture crystal meth (Tik).
CRIME SCENE: Erasmia, Pretoria: Two foreign nationals have been arrested following the discovery of a multimillion rand clandestine Mandrax laboratory.

The arrests follow a joint operation by the Hakws’ South African Narcotics Bureau following and Crime Intelligence.
The Deputy National Commissioner for Policing, Lieutenant General Tebello Mosikili, was on the scene soon after the discovery of the laboratory.
