Man gunned down in broad daylight
CRIME SCENE: Elsies River: A man was gunned down here on Saturday morning, 27 June 2026.
Elsies River police responded to reports of a shooting in progress at Hollow Way, Clarke Estate on Saturday at about 10:00.
“Upon arrival, they found a body of a 31-year-old man lying on a pavement with five gunshot wounds. He was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel.
“A case of murder has been opened and no arrests have been made yet,” said media liaison officer for the Western Cape police, Constable Ndakhe Gwala.
