Home Affairs distances itself from immigrant poster
Don’t spread fake news
NATIONAL: The Department of Home Affairs has warned people that a notice currently in circulation and which offers monetary rewards to members of the public for reporting undocumented foreign nationals is fake and did not originate from the Department nor the Minister of Home Affairs.

The Department said it encouraged the public to verify information through official channels before sharing it.
“Let us all play our part in promoting accurate information, responsible engagement, and respect for the rule of law.
“For verified updates and official announcements, please follow the Department of Home Affairs’ official communication platforms,” said.
