Cops make R300 m cocaine bust
CRIME SCENE: Northriding, Johannesburg: The South African Police Service (SAPS) have seized cocaine worth an estimated R300 million in a massive drug bust.

According to SAPS Honeydew police conducted an operation at a plot in Northriding at about 20:30 on Saturday, 12 September 2026 after receiving information regarding suspected drug-related activities.
During the operation, police also seized a black Land Cruiser SUV after it was allegedly found displaying false registration numbers and with an allegedly altered Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
No arrests have been made at this stage. Police investigations are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the seizure.
The police said it would continue to work with other law-enforcement stakeholders and communities to ensure that criminal activities are effectively addressed.
