MISDAADTONEEL: Bellville-Suid, Kaapstad: Tik, Mandrax en ‘n onwettige vuurwapen het gelei tot die arrestasie van twee mans in afsonderlike voorvalle.
Maandag 18 Mei 2026 omstreeks 00:30 het lede van Operasie Lockdown 3 ‘n perseel in Frank Louwlaan, Bellville-Suid deursoek nadat hulle inligting oor dwelms en vuurwapens ontvang het.
Die polisie het die plek deursoek en het net olnder 140g Tik, 35 Mandrax-tablette, ‘n halwe Mandrax-tablet en ‘n ongelisensieerde vuurwapen by die huis gevind.
‘n 43-jarige man is in gearresteer.
MFULENI: Lede verbonde aan Operasie Shanela 2 het Sondag, 17 Mei 2026 omstreeks 11:30 in Mfuleni gepatrolleer toe hulle ‘n verdagte man in Qogombastraat oplet.
Volgens die polisie het hulle besluit om hom te stop en te deursoek. Die polisie het 260g Tik na bewering op die 35-jarige gevind en hom in gearresteer.

CRIME SCENE: Bellvile-South, Cape Town: Police have arrested two men after they discovered drugs and a firearm in separate incidents.
In Bellville South on Monday, 18 May 2026 at about 00:30 members of Operation Lockdown 3 searched a premises in Frank Louw Avenue after they received information about drugs and firearms at the place.
The police said after a lengthy search, they found just under 140g of Tik, 35 Mandrax tablets, one half Mandrax tablet and an unlicensed firearm at the house.
A 43-year-old man was arrested.
MFULENI: Members attached to Operation Shanela 2 were patrolling in Mfuleni on Sunday, 17 May 2026 at around 11:30 when they saw a suspicious looking man in Qogomba Street.
According to the police they decided to stop and search him. The police found 260g of Tik on the 35-year-old and arrested him.

Cops probe triple murder
CRIME SCENE: Mfuleni, Cape Town: Detectives from the Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Unit are investigating a triple murder after the bodies of three men were discovered in Green Park informal settlement in Mfuleni on Monday morning, 11 May 2026.
Police responded to a complaint at about 11am and found the victims lying in close proximity to one another in front of a shack. The men, aged 21, 23 and 32, sustained multiple injuries consistent with assault and stabbing.
According to information gathered at the scene, residents reportedly heard shouting during the early hours of the morning, but the bodies were only discovered later.
The motive for the attack is still unknown and no arrests have been made.
